Our Story

Soft Play Oasis, Inc. was founded by Linda Bouvilom Cannizzo, a seasoned event professional with 22+ years of experience and a foundation in fashion merchandising and management. Her combined expertise in logistics and design informs every play space — thoughtfully crafted to be both visually stunning and highly functional.

Parenthood transformed her perspective in a profound way. After welcoming her twin boys, Franklin and Lincoln — her rainbow babies — and her daughter Kennedy soon after, Linda discovered soft play while taking one of her sons to physical therapy, where she witnessed firsthand the developmental benefits of gross motor activities.

As both an experienced planner and a parent of three small children at once, Linda recognized that families needed more than just entertainment — they needed a solution that gives parents peace of mind, allows them to truly enjoy events instead of chasing after little ones, and ensures young children feel included within beautiful, contained spaces where they can safely play.

Soft Play Oasis was founded in 2019 with a clear mission: to provide a joyful, contained play solution that includes children ages 5 and under at events of all kinds — giving parents peace of mind and the freedom to fully enjoy the experience. Shortly after launching, Linda’s husband, Frank Cannizzo, joined as a partner in the business, helping to support operations and grow the company’s reach across Chicagoland.

The company’s logo and vibrant primary rainbow brand colors are a tribute to their rainbow babies — honoring the joy and inspiration they brought into their lives — and a reflection of Soft Play Oasis’s commitment to inclusion, celebration, and creating space for every child to feel seen, safe, and part of the moment.
